I had a wonderful time at the concert this past weekend. Gilbert was awesome. I would so do it again.

Sometimes I think my life would be easier if I had a penis
The things you have to go through when you’re a non-ambulatory quadriplegic. I needed to get this urine test for my doctor. I did not want to do the usual method of having a straight Cath done at the hospital, because evidently Hamot hospital doesn’t know the correct location to put the catheter. In the past my private area will be sensitive and sore for a couple of weeks. I had to call around to all of these different Laboratories and not an easy task. Try to explain to a lady why a 37 year old needs a cath beg for an infant.
My weekend plans
I am going to see Gilbert Brantley, who is a country singer for those who don’t know. I’m very excited about this concert. I feel I’m getting out into the community is very important when you have a disability.
A very enjoyable Saturday
I am very thankful that God help me put on a picnic for the building for which I live. I Supply the main food while others brought the sides. A little trouble getting the grill started, but it was still a great day.
My dessert alternative
Tonight I’m a cherry strawberry and spinach with some honey. Added some water with ice and Ninja blender. It kind of came out with the consistency of sorbet, it was delicious. I made a new discovery flavored protein powder, I might be the only person that didn’t know about this product. Tomorrow I am sending someone to the store for peanut butter protein powder to add to my homemade concoctions.

I feel amazing
I feel amazing, tonight was the first time in a long time that I was able to hold my fondue Fork in my hand. I got so emotional I almost cried.
An act of kindness
Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to get some body wash and a prescription refilled and the lady in the next line paid for my stuff. The crazy part was that I had to borrow money just to get those two things and here I didn’t even need to. May God repay her act of kindness in her time of need.
Be careful when you are doing consumer-direct care…
People who decide to hire their attendant care person directly and use a payroll agency like PPL need to be careful comma because the consumer does not have a lot of protection against neglect or abuse. I know everybody thinks it couldn’t happen to them, but it absolutely could happen to you. What is the big drawbacks to using Direct Care Services is this if you don’t have a good backup in place the payroll agency doesn’t have to find you a replacement, because they are just a payroll agency. Let’s say your attendance start coming in later and she puts on her timesheet that she was there all day , what will you do? If you have a Stamper like most of us do, she can just stamp their own timesheets. What will you do when they start playing on your emotions? Allow me to do very little work because I am your emotional support. I am your friend when nobody else wants to be your friend. Sometimes it PCA will try to take over the whole situation like they are running the show instead of you. You will be in a position where you have to ask for permission just to live your own life. From a PCA perspective what will you do when your client ends up in the hospital or another PCA Sadducees your client away from you. A lot of PCA that need hours will try to seduce other clients from their Pca’s. They will point out all the things that person does it do for you, and all the things that can do better for you. Sometimes they are correct, but most times it’s just hype.
